Its a small small world (and a long long queue)

Our favorite family ride is small small world. It closed in January, and has only just re-opened so we are really happy about that. Denny is still in a bit of awe about it but madi sings along with the christmas carols and the classic small small world theme. We had a firetruck and double decker bus ride along main street today. With a train ride from tomorrow land to main street so we can see the dinosaurs. The kids both love the dinosaurs in the grand canyon that you see on the train ride. Denny has some new sign language that looks like he is saying how big the fish he caught is - but that represents dinosaurs. So he was chattering away and doing his sign the whole queue and wait.

Our kids are finally tall enough for rides that use fast passes! Madi is 38inches and denny is just over 32inches - which is the minimum height restriction। Unfortunately being tall enough doesnt mean you are awake enough to ride. Le and madi went on autotopia with the fastpass - and denny slept all the way through it. While denny was sleeping madi got to do minnie and mickeys house in toontown. She just loves seeing the characters and you get to meet mickey in his house. Sooo ... that was a hit. And then coming out minnie was in the toontown square so she got hugs from Micky and Minnie.

We went into the tomorrowland - building - and they have a whole new tomorrow house down the bottom floor. It was quite cool actually, I would like to go back in again on a quieter day. The hit of the house was the dining room table had four "surface" screens that you can draw on. Denny just loved it - he wouldnt leave. Its like a giant magnadoodle - except a little more expensive. Thankfully, the man looking after that room let him stay in the drawing mode for ages, regardless of the requests by others walking by for a demonstration of its other features.

So denny keept drawing and drawing and drawing. Madi went with le into the boys bedroom, and was a volunteer in and interactive story. She participated 100%. The bedroom of tomorrow lets you "blow" holes with a big canon. The walls were all ... screens or something. It was very cool, but what was coolest was madi seems to be over any "Stagefright" and is into voluteering.

We always see the monorail and have never had a ride, so today that was our new thing to do. It took a little longer than we expected, so we actually ended up at the top of Downtown Disney ... we were going to ride back, but Denny had other ideas so we got to experience the restrooms at the top of Downtown Disney. Right next to the lego shop. The kids didnt complain about that detour. They have a couple of play tables so - 20 mins later we coaxed them away. It was about 7.00 so we hoped peak hour would be ending, but - to tell the truth - I am writing this in the car on the way home, as we creep along at 3miles an hour down the 91! Hmmm... We will have to leave later still.

Tomorrow we have to take the fiver in for some warranty repairs, and we are moving to the campgrounds. The other campground is about 30mins closer - and it is near the disney outlet store (where they sell off the disneyland resort brand stuff at great prices)! So might have to do a little disney bargain shopping. Woohoo.
