108 Mile Ranch

This rest area with attached heritage park is only 8 miles from 100 Mile House (surprise surprise). But it was great. I really enjoyed it. We are heading for Barkerville, which is a whole historic town, so 108 Mile Ranch was a good warm up for the kids, to get into the whole “olden days” thing. They were interested in looking in the old cabins, and barns.

But when we went upstairs in this giant horse barn, and found a stage – well – it was impromptu concert time. All those shows on the cruise must have rubbed off as we got a song and dance show of over the top proportions with elaborate bows at the end of each song.

I got a fair bit of it on video which I will make available for interested parties :)

We hit the road and headed for Williams Lake.
