Dinner at Tiffiny's

We went to dinner at Tiffinys, in Topeka, Indiana tonight. It is across the road from the kids favorite playground, which we go to almost everyday. But besides pie there one night, we haven't eaten there. It is Saturday night - so it was packed - with the grey crowd. I think we (especially our kids) were the youngest there. Anyway, it is a very nice freindly place to eat. The waitresses are very friendly and informative. We have to ask what everything is, as the menu is a little different from what we know. I had the buffet which included fried chicken and fried shrimp (YUM) and mashed potatoes, and some concoction that I didnt get the name of. It reminded me of a left-overs meal - it had all sorts of meats and vegies in it. It was very nice though. I had seconds of everything.

Then we got to try dirt pudding which was delicious. It has creme and cheese? and crushed up oreos - and it truly was delicious - I had seconds of that as well. So that was amish cooking take 2 and I did enjoy it this time. Denny had some shrimps and chicken and thick grated carrot (that was his fave actually) and madi had a bowl of ice-cream. Le had two heaped plates of the salads, potato, coleslaw, broccoli - she really enjoyed them and the dirt pudding! So - hurray for dinner at Tiffineys, We are here a few more weeks I would guess, and given it's proximity to the kids park, hopefully we get to eat there a few more times before we leave Millersburg, Indiana.
