Elephant Ears, Grater Taters, Rib Eye Sandwhiches, Apple Dumplings, corn cooked over a bbq - YUM. Too much great fair food to choose from - so we each tried different things. The elephant ears were great big (bigger than a dinner plate) deep fried dough - kinda like doughnuts - that was then smothered in Apple or Cherry sauce. Next time I would do the doughnut cinnamon option - the cherry was too sweet.
The ribeye sandwich was very nice - but the real winner was the cob of sweet corn - Denny hoed into it too! Madi slept in the back of the stroller through most of it - so we got to check out all the local craft shows so that was nice.
There was a puppet show - Granpa Kratchet - or something like that - which seemed to have a great level of audience participation from the mainly amish onlookers.
There were some rides, lots of apples and the streets were closed off. This is what I expected a small town american fair / festival to be like. It was great - the food and the people watching.
