Wrap an RV with anything you like and we will drive it around the countryside for you, generating you new business, customers and sales.

Here is the deal. We are Aussies touring the USA. Our RV was stolen while we had it in for service at Forest River. Yes they should replace it and no they are not. So we are stranded – homeless you might say.

Rather than sitting in our hole, we have a great idea. We need an RV to tour around in and you want new business. Why not “wrap” the RV in your advertising and we will drive it around the countryside promoting your business.

We are on the roads all the time passing thousands of your customers. We are in Camping grounds each night so if you have something to sell RVers or Snowbirders – we are your answer.
Hey, come up with a great deal and we will put some brochures on the outside of our RV each night.

We are on a holiday visa so we will be doing this as a hobby. Not working.
Think about it, a full size billboard on the main highways of America. It is novel and clever. Trust me, get the art work right and it will turn heads.

New Haircuts

We just had a lovely family haircut session at the Walmart Hairdresser at South Bend. All four of us had haircuts, as a "change" is as good as a holiday, right? The hairdresser there was so friendly, it was really nice. Lisa-Marie after the famous presley offspring. Cool huh!

Anyway, Lea had a shampoo and cut. I had all my hair cut off, and it is as short as it has ever been. Denny fell asleep, so we cut his hair while he slept. Which meant Lisa had to kneel, and bend over backwards to reach - but she did - and he looks like a really little boy now. Baby is just melting away. He is only half a head shorter than madi. And we had madi's hair layered - so she looks less out of control.

Can you tell, the haircuts were the highlight of my day!

No news from Forest River. Went to a lawyer today, who rang and blasted them, and demanded something be done. But Jeff Babcock is on vacation and cant be disturbed, and nobody else has authority to do anything.

I hope his hotel room is stolen from him, and he is left to sleep in a lobby for 7 days.

LIAR!

OK. Now we are annoyed. Really annoyed. Jeff Babcock, from Forest River, rang first thing this morning. Still talking of sorting us out with a loaner - by this afternoon we had a RV dealer ringing to rent and then sell us an RV!!!

So no loaner! I am so angry. Shouldnt have got our hopes up. Stupid us. Every time forest river just lets us down. They said they would pay our fuel, then say they wont. They say they will give us a loaner, then sic salespeople on us.

I am just sitting here shaking my head - I dont know what to say - or do. we are really stuck. only 2 more weeks of the emergency accom money from insurance ... where are we supposed to go.

Loaner RV in the works

Good News! I hope! The police called, but not to say they have found the RV (as we first hoped), but that Jeff Babcock from Forest River wants to give us a new RV.

Then about an hour later, Jeff Babcock rang and he said he would sort us out with a loaner that we can use until the insurance is sorted out. As it is the labor day weekend, he will be in touch on Tuesday to get it sorted and we should be in a new RV by Tuesday night, wednesday by the latest.

So ... that is exciting. Staying in a house has been interesting, but really, we want to be travelling. So now we can get over to PA and check out the site at Treasure Lake.

Took the kids to the zoo yesterday, for madi's birthday - a day late. We have been celebrating it for 2 weeks already - so whats a few extra days after. Nice little zoo at South Bend in Indiana. Red pandas, kangaroos and an emu (denny was too little to remember them from the zoo's at home). The kids both got a pony ride. Then just across the carpark was a fantastic kids playground. Suitable for madi and denny. So the kids had a great time.

They fell asleep on the way home as the house we are staying in is over an hour from South Bend. But well worth the drive.

Anyway, things are looking up today.

Our RV has been Stolen.

"This is a stunt right", is what lea said as she rang back the guy from forest river. They had left a message last night saying it was finished. In just 10 days! We had rented this place for 4 weeks. And then this morning, as we were getting ready to go pick it up, lea checked the messages and there it was - the repair yard had been broken into and our RV has been stolen.

OH MY GOD! Lump in your through, heart starts beating a million miles an hour. Thats our house. The kids bedroom. Oh no, we left the winnie the pooh curtains up, the ones we brought from Madi's room in australia, that Louise (adopted canadian grandma) sewed up for them. Oh no, we left stuff under the kids bed. I thought it would be safe there. And our great plates we bought at camping world ... ah crap!

I am so glad I pulled all the books, toys, clothes - lanyards and pins - I emptied just about everything so that is good at least.

Woah, I am still reeling. How can our RV have got stolen. None of the others in the lot were stolen just ours. The guy said in 18 years he had been there it had never been broken into - great - so we get to be the first! The repair guys didnt want our keys or kingpin lock - so the theif just cut through the padlock on the gate and our RV was easy to open and hitch up - and they drove it away!!!

I cant believe it. Its madi's birthday tomorrow. We told her the fiver has been stolen and she said "its ok mummy, it probably somewhere down the road".
